Built for people, not profiles.
Home James is a vision for personal computing where AI works on behalf of the individual — privately, proactively, and across the devices and services they already use.
The idea
Today's internet is fragmented across apps, accounts, clouds, and data silos. Home James is the intelligent layer above them: one interface that understands intent, protects identity, coordinates tools, and keeps the individual in control.
People first
Incentives designed around the user's interests rather than maximum data extraction.
Open model choice
The right AI for the task, instead of locking people to one provider.
Distributed by design
Personal devices become part of the infrastructure rather than passive endpoints.
Where the project stands
A working local node runs today: the kernel, local encrypted memory, privacy controls, evidence and tool handling, market data and web capability, and voice interaction. The work now is hardening that into something anyone can install, then extending it into a multi-node network. Early access opens to the waitlist first.
